Future Home #1 The Sophisticated Room

I don't know is it because I am ageing or am I totally inspired by this new show (oklah not that new) called the Million Dollar Decorator on StarWorld. The show is not that interesting but I absolutely love to watch the whole end product design. All the houses are so beautiful!

Well, I guess since I was young, I have always loved to browse through Ikea catalogue and look at all the kids room design and I will just go "awwwww jelly~"

I have always wished for one room that has the whole theme going on and super cool furniture but nope, my room is as typical as ever. Messy room with some origami bottles, books everywhere, comic books everywhere! and walls are filled with posters of celebrities and movies such as Blue (it is a boy band fyi!) and even Soo Kui Jien~!

So here I am dreaming about how my future house should look like one day. It was so much fun to browse through all the interior design pictures to get some inspiration for my future room! Well, I start with room first cause somehow I imagine I will end up staying in a one bedroom condo because I am #forevealone like that and also I think having a comfy room is absolutely important after long hours of working, u deserve some pampering!

I was in such dilema to choose between a more mature room or a man repelling princess room. lol. All the photos I saw just makes you go awwwwww......... and you wonder... how long more. :/ I will probably end up having one princess room and one atas room. lol

Mature, sophisticated room inspiration:

Aren't all of them so beautiful? If I enter into any of these rooms, I will probably never take a step out of it. I think it is sufficient to say that I am definitely not the simple kind of girl. haha. I am not saying simplicity is not nice because I think it has its own beauty but if I have to choose, I will definitely go for the traditional design with lotsa cloth and fancy chandeliar. haha.

I absolutely love my bed to be filled with pillows and the most important part is a comfy bed and comforter! That it a must for me but I will probably never get out of bed after that. lol. Despite it being not all pink and stuff, I find the rooms still project a rather sufficient amount of princess feel to it. Instead of princess, I guess it just makes you feel like a royalty living in some fairytale. 

Neutral pallette is what attract me the most when I was browsing through the pictures but I realised that purple and brown combination is rather good too! It gives a pop of colour to it. :)

Despite the whole extravagant design that I love, I actually found one simple room interior design that I love!

What do you think? Don't you think the whole aqua blue is so stunning? Probably feel like you are living in a Tiffanny&Co. bedroom <3

P.S Queen size bed is a minimum for me! I do not want to go back to sleeping on a single bed when I have my own place because well, I shamelessly admit that I am a bad sleeper. I love to roll and I always fall off my bed! So when I have to be careful constantly not to fall off, I never get a good sleep :( 

My future room will probably end up looking nothing like any of the above but life is all about chasing after your dreams. Whether you achieve them or not, it is still nice to have something to aim for yea?
