The Cheranting Boy / Antipodean Cafe

People come and go out of one's life so often that sometimes you really wonder why bother anymore? It is really hurtful when people you consider dear to you takes you for granted or simply do things that betrays/hurt you. When things like this happen, you feel like you are emotionally drained because:

“There is nothing I would not do for those who are really my friends. I have no notion of loving people by halves, it is not my nature.” - Jane Austen

When you love someone dearly and people just walkaway like that, I believe that the impact could be of no difference than a break up.

Few weeks back I met with Dibin when he came to KL before going back to Club Med at Cheranting. The last time I met him was at the Boys Brigade anniversary dinner in 2013 briefly because there was just too much between us to talk about and the time we had was barely enough. When I found that he will be permanently working at Club Med, my heart sank cause there is no way I can visit him now that he stays in a jungle. wth.

So I was thrilled when this boy finally came to KL and spent the whole day with me! Just like that we had known each other for over 7 years by now. It is not very long but at the same time if you think about it, not many friendship can actually last this long (keeping in mind that the closeness does not change).

# FML. look at my fat neck T.T

I am not that good in bringing people to kai kai in KL except bringing them to Bangsar. fml. So I took him to the most cliché brunch spot a.k.a Antipodean and also to bring him to look at gorgeous KL girls who will always be at Bangsar for brunch. lol.

# He got so tan till I can barely recognise him!

#apologies for the horrifying eye bags!

I am glad that he liked the place especially for someone who is in the service industry, he was really pleased with the service that was given by the wait staffs. Of course the food was really good too.

# Glorious Salmon Omelette. It was soooo good that it was close to being orgasmic in my mouth.

# daily dose of caffeine is a necessity

#This Butterscotch pancake has captured my eyes even before we were seated!  :D

We talked so much on that day and just basically catching up with each others life. He has a gf now *yea for him!* and I am still #foreveralone~ /nobigdeal I was telling him about the uni that I will be choosing in UK and he was just so kind because he started to tell me who I can contact when I am there, who can take care of me there and etc. There are more than that in the conversation and at one point I just felt how truly blessed I am to have a friend like him. What have I done to be ever deserving of such good friend in my life? I even called my mom to tell her how blessed I am with such friend. haha.

There are plenty of people out there who are ready to share the fun with you but exactly how many are truly going to stand by you and support you when in trouble?

When the bill came, I was planning to pay for my share and he stopped me. I told him "No, I can pay for my own meal!" and he said "When we were both students, we split the bill but now I am working. I will pay for the meal and when you are working, you can pay for it. Like this, we will always owe each other and this is how our friendship will always last." :)

After our meal and some shopping session, I brought him to CERC for cell group / growth group. He kept saying that he did'nt expect that going to church and learning about God will be part of his vacation plan but he is glad that it is. haha so yea.. my travel plan for people who wants to visit KL will involve going to church ok? lol.

Dinner time we met up with the rest of my boys from my hood~ Ipoh malis yo! We went back to Bangsar again. /XD but I forgot what restaurant we went lol.

# Sean / Dibin / Me / Raymond

It was just such a joyful day for me to have my dose of Ipoh when in KL. They are my happy pills~  /blush
It was really good that I get to meet up with Raymond as well since he is now based in KL but believe it or not, people just don't meet up in KL if they are from Ipoh. Me and Ray though both are in KL but we are just too busy with our lives to meet up and we will probably meet up when in Ipoh. lol. The boys had some after party after I went back home but I guess they need their bro time too and I am not interested to be part of it. haha. Everyone is already working now and in their next phase of life. It is pretty exciting to see the transition in life that took place on your friends and probably one day I will be invited to one of their wedding. /wahaha

xoxo
