A Day In Kuala Lumpur

There is one thing that I have always wanted to do ever since I started studying in KL and that is to travel around the heart of KL. However, 2 years has passed and yet I did not tick it off my checklist until Angelyn randomly told me that she will be going Petaling Street alone and I was like "ARE YOU CRAZY? I will go with you!" lol.

I know she is an independent strong woman but it is not safe and hence I went to Petaling Street spontaneously with her the next morning by bus cause we are poor students.

She was there to shoot for her assignment project and I was there to tag along because I don't want her to be alone and also it's a good opportunity for me to go around KL. Not that I am much of a help if people decide to rob us but two is always better than one?

We took the U82 bus to KL sentral and train to Pasar Seni. After that it was just by foot all the way and hopped on to some apparently free shuttle bus around KL.

First thing was definitely breakfast at Petaling Street (Chinatown). Omnomnom.... The food was decent but not to say omg good. Well, there was'nt much there except for lotsa fake branded items all around. Not sure were we too early but not many stalls were open.

# Key Point when walking around is lotsa sunblock
and find the most comfortable clothes.
Don't wear skirts!

We tried looking for homeless people because Angelyn is doing a documentary on it but somehow we could not find any. HHHhhmmm... i guess it is a good thing?

So we walked further and I got to see how Pudu new bus station is like because I have never taken the bus once since I started studying in KL. I always choose the train over it. We went to Masjid Jamek and also the Central market.

Central Market is pretty much a more atas place for tourist to get souvenirs though they have this stretch of of street where all these talented local artist will help you draw out super realistic portraits and some artist are just there to sell their panting. It is really amazing to see all these talents we have here in Malaysia and though I don't know anything about 'art' and I can't paint to save my life, I really think that the paintings are beautiful.

From that, we left and went to the atas area of KL and that is bukit bintang area! Actually not atas one but there is where Pavilion, Sephora and Starhill Gallery is located. However, if you walk further down, it will be all scary 'foot massage' parlor and eeemmm you can see some street walker around. That aside, you have that beautiful Tous Les Jours opposite H&M. It look so fancy that many people can't believe that it is a bakery shop. lol. Told you Bukit Bintang is pretty atas until the bakery shop also must look like some hotel or art gallery place.

# Tous les Jours in Bangsar at Jalan Telawi look less intimidating than this one.

# Thank You God for the orgasmic sushi

We were pretty much super exhausted and hungry but since we ate at 4-5pm, we did not dare to tell each other that we want to eat some more. We hopped on to this from Idk where cause well, Angie is the one who brings me around and I am pretty bad with location lah.

# Weird things you see in Bukit Bintang

It took us an hour to reach our area but half way through we beh tahan and we finally both said it out loud that we are hungry. hahahha. We laughed at how silly we were that we were worried of how the other person will judge but we were too hungry till we could care less about it.

We stopped at Damansara Uptown and thought since we have spent so much today, we will just settle with the hokkien mee but the dimsum was too tempting and so we had dimsum at like 9.30 pm but its worth it.

# My fav dish!

Since we are both kiamsap people and splurge on the dinner/supper di, we did'nt even bother to take cab home and figured, "oh! we can walk! no problem!" Why were we so smart? There was'nt even a pathway for me to walk home and it is hardly near when walking by foot. I literally had to walk on the highway drain to prevent cars from knocking me down and all I could think of was "OMG! someone is going to snatch my bag!"

p.s we don't stay together and that means we were both alone in the middle of the night on some pretty quiet street.

# Received a beautiful pink rose at Sephora because they were
promoting Lanvin new perfume, Me L'Eau
The smell is to die for and now I am contemplating between that or DKNY Drop of Rose

All in all, it was a really great experience and I was so glad to have a good friend to share it with me. Saranghae~ To people who tell me that "we don't have a car, how to go around KL?" "eeeerrrrr..... no legs is it?" kidding. I get the worry but seriously, it is pretty easy and convenient to go around KL.

xoxo
