PART 1: From Berlin With Love

During my Easter break, me and Chloe decided to go for a Euro trip because well, there is nothing to do and we have been talking about it. Most people are splurging now in the summer but we are broke for the summer. >< Chloe is amazing friend and a great travel partner. I think it is so important to make sure that the people you travel with are people who actually have the same vision with you because if you travel with a friend who can afford things and choose to splurge while you don't have that sum of money to live up to that lifestyle, it will be a huge problem. Both of you would be unhappy but thankfully I did'nt have that problem with Chloe.

Therefore, choose wisely your travel partner! Not just that but what you both want to do when you are there, discuss it first.

It was like an adventure more than a vacation for us. To begin with, there was so much problem at the customs that it resulted with us separated in two different country and she was left alone in Berlin while I was in London. This amazing friend even gave me her credit card because I did'nt have enough money in pounds with me.

22 other people could'nt get into the intended flight, that being said, there was also limited seats to Berlin on that very day! Everyone was fighting for a seat on the next flight to Berlin on that day. Here am I trying to get one too but no one would hear me T.T but Thank You God, everyone were travelling in groups and with the limited seats, they did'nt get the ticket, I was alone and so I got the seat! With another lady who is a German. She was alone too. She asked if she could travel with me because we have to move to another airport for another flight.

P,S EASYJET is a big NO NO! so horrible! The service was by far the worse ever! They were rude to me and to others. When 22 people missed the flight, they did'nt immediately attend to us, they did'nt apologise for their mistake and try to help us but they just say "Well, others got on the flight, not our problem." The thing is, the plane was still there but they did'nt let us enter. Because of their own internal miscommunication, it caused so much problem. Therefore, easyjet is literally so lousy. No other airline that I encountered ever gave me such horrible service.

I was very thankful that I met the lady cause she was contacting her husband in Berlin to help me call the hotel in Berlin, taught me what train to take and how to travel to my hotel. I always meet really nice people when I travel alone. T.T so happy!

When I arrived in Berlin, it was already very late. We did'nt know how to get the train tickets and so we hopped on the last train for free ><

Honestly, language was a big problem for us when asking for direction and ordering food when menu are all in German ><

The even worse thing was our hostel are 6 storey high and there was no lift. T,T but other than that, it was spacious and very clean. It has a very vintage design to the room and it was nice. You can check out the website here, OSTEL HOSTEL. It is very near the train station and literally just few meters away from the Berlin wall.

The very next early morning, we got our breakfast from this mini market like LIDLE near our hostel. We got like breads and some fruit juice, or smoothie or coffee! It was so fun because you have a wide range of selection of stuff though all in German and it was really cheap.

We went to the ohsofamous Alexanderplatz. It is like the posh area I suppose and the heart of Berlin. Everything is there. Sort of. It is the city centre and therefore, rather busy. One thing about Germany is transportation is amazing! It is so convenient to travel!

In the beginning we were a bit lost but thankfully the map is quite easy to understand. Obviously a picture with the iconic tower near Alexanderplatz.

# Fernsehturm is a television tower located at the central of Berlin and it
is constructed between 1965 and 1969

Near the tower was Neptunbrunnen, This fountain was built in 1891 and designed by Reinhold Begas. The center of the fountain is Neptune and IMO he looks like King Triton. It was actually removed from its original place and restored at the current location in 1969.

# No boobies for you

One of the iconic building that took our breath away was the Berliner Dom (Berlin Cathedral). It is located at Mitte. Mitte is next to Alexanderplatz and we did'nt even realise we were out of Alexanderplatz until we saw a map on the sign board.

# The full name is Supreme Parish and Collegiate Church and it was finished building in 1905.

Every single corner of the cathedral has some work to be amazed at. We did'nt enter the building but admiring the architecture from the outside was fascinating enough.

# Door suitable for a giant to get through.

Next ahead was the Alte Nationalgalerie, part of the Museum Island. This museum was designed by Friedrich August Stüle, presenting a collection of 19th century art pieces. This museum shape like a Roman temple.

The Museum Island consist of 5 museums. If you have time, do visit all. It will be worth it. As for us, we were hungry. >< Met this nice chap who was a local and he needed our help to help him with this photography exhibition. He want us to think of a stereotype people have of Malaysia and Mauritius (which made my head nearly exploded), write it on a piece of paper and have a picture taken with holding the paper. He was struggling to get people from other country to help him even though Berlin was flooded with tourists from all around Europe, mainly they are school trips but he could'nt communicate with them because he could not speak English or German with them. Hope that his exhibition went well~
