From New York City with Love (Part 1)

One belongs to New York instantly, one belongs to it as much in five minutes as in five years.
- Tom Wolfe-

New York, New York, New York.

Every single tv show I grew up loving and movies where all the love story take place in romantic comedy, New York will be the setting for them all. It tells you tales of the best fashion and the best food and life. It is the concrete jungle of where dreams are made of. - empire state of mind.

Two of my favourite shows set right in the heart of NYC, Sex & the City and Gossip Girl. Sex and the city no doubt was the show that introduce me to NYC and the reason why I love NYC. It is silly I know but a girl can dream.

Hence, when I found out that we will be making a spontaneous trip from Omaha to NYC for my brother's business trip, I could only blush like a young girl meeting her crush, butterflies in the stomach. <3

Blessed to be staying in a hotel very near to Time Square, making everything pretty convenient and expensive. haha

The weather was amazing! The breeze and sun is pure perfection. No doubt it is pretty intimidating but the excitement was surreal. No doubt our first stop was TIME SQUARE! The crowd was just insane! Like wow for me but you really have to watch out being there. I had people who just come up to me, pull me away for photo.

My brother has the nicest mate ever. He was very busy with his work meetings and his friend volunteered to take us around NYC and for dinner. I was looking forward to BURGER & PIZZA in NYC but guess what we had, RAMEN! hahaha I died.

The food is nice but for the price and conversion rate to ringgit,  I simply can't accept the price I am paying for ramen. Then again, NYC is a melting pot of every culture. I am just blessed to even be there and be part of it.

NYC is even more beautiful at night when the city lights turn on and instantly I feel like I was in the Serendipity movie with Kate Beckinsale and John Cusack or just any romantic comedy movie that I grew up loving really.

Last Stop for the night...

Hey Upper East Siders. Gossip Girl here. And I have the biggest news ever. One of my many sources, Melanie91, sends us this: “Spotted at Grand Central, bags in hand: Serena van der Woodsen.” Was it only a year ago our It Girl mysteriously disappeared for “boarding school”? And just as suddenly, she’s back. Don’t believe me? See for yourselves. Lucky for us, Melanie91 sent proof. Thanks for the photo, Mel. 😘

Grand Central Station has also earned the designation as National Historic Landmark

My heart was just feeling everything at that point. GRAND CENTRAL STATION! Where we first spot Serena Van Der Woodsen in season 1 ep 1 of Gossip Girl and lonely boy just stand across looking at her. Being there was just so surreal to be like on set of one of my fav cult fav tv show.

Thank you New York for the amazing first night. Look forward to wake up in this city again. <3
