Roses are Red - Products Review
I often hear girls saying these days that they hate flowers or they would never want their lover or anyone to buy them flower cause they are so useless and etc. However, not ashamed to claim that I love flowers any day and that is why I am so obsessed with spring now! Floral hair accessories in any countless way.
To make me sound even more typical, I LOVE ROSE! yes I do. :) Many people are naming some random flowers which I have never heard before as their favourite flower but I would say yes to roses any day. However, my new current favourite is peony. It is just too beautiful~
# Roses and Peonies
Therefore, in conjunction to the whole Spring atmosphere that we are in now, I am going to introduce to you three of my rose based products that I use every day.
1. Pure DKNY A Drop of Rose
- The fragrance features turkish rose, black currant, magnolia, cedar, verbena and vanilla. I smelled it once back in Malaysia and I fell in love. The scent is very natural and it does'nt smell like any synthetic rose fragrance. You are basically smelling a real rose before you.
- That being said, the scent is very mild. It can be good and bad depending on the user. I personally do like scent which is too strong but I still find this to be too mild.
- The lasting power is rather weak and the bottle design is really mediocre. Which was actually a reason why I was quite reluctant to buy it for some time.
I did not regret buying it because I do like the scent but I wish the bottle design can be nicer. P.s I love DKNY perfume. I have always trusted them to create something I like. My mom and I both love DKNY Be Delicious Fresh Blossom and DKNY Be Delicious but she kept the latter and I brought the former over to UK.
2. The Body Shop Wild Rose Hand Cream
This is my second rose hand cream from The Body Shop. First is the Moroccan Rose Hand and Nail Cream. I loved that a lot and therefore I bought this one. This is made with rosehip oil, Community Fair trade Brazil nut oil and helps to reduce the appearance of brown spot. It also comes with SPH15. Hand cream with sph, quite cool right? haha
- The smell is nice but the Morrocan Rose is better for me because it does'nt smell as natural
- It is not sticky and easy to apply. Absorbs into the skin very quickly.
- Supporting Fair trade is very important because not only you can ensure the quality of the product in terms of the chemical used on the plant, you are ensuring no child is being abuse to work in the plantation and you are helping the community to have a better welfare and support themselves.
- However, it does'nt moisture my hands as much as other hand cream and my hands dry up very quickly again but a rather good buy for its price.
3. Crabtree & Evelyn London Rosewater Shower Gel
The first time I ever use this was in the form of a soap and I died cause it smells so amazing! However, the scent from a soap does go away after some time even though I must give credit to how long the bar soap lasted in terms of the scent. So I went to Shrewsbury for the first time and there was sale going on and so I bought this and another but Lily based cause my mom loves Lily.
- It is made with extracts of rosewater, peony (FAVE!), white magnolia, and elderflower. It is also free of phthaletes, propylene glycol, and mineral oil.
- What can I say, this is my favourite product out of the three. The scent is great, very natural. It last very long and I always get compliment after every time I shower using it.
- The bottle is easy to use, the pink hue colour is so beautiful and it is best when I use it for bubble bath! I just would'nt leave the bathroom really.
- The only negative thing would be the price was rather steep for a shower gel. I bought 250ml for £10 during sale.
